Best Hotel Rooms in Dallas

Romantic Getaway – The Joule Dallas

Trip Kick Preferred: Rooms Ending in “813 & 814″ Rooms

These Deluxe Suites are extremely well done.  They each have a high ceiling, oversized bedroom with a sitting area, little patio, and a large bathroom with walk-in shower, soaking tub, and window.  Definitely worth the upgrade from the Joule Suite.

Hip & Trendy – W Dallas Victory Hotel

Trip Kick Preferred: Rooms Ending in “01″ Rooms

These Cool Corner Rooms or WoW Suites are the most preferred in the hotel.  They all have a nice balcony, great views of Victory Plaza and the American Airlines Center.  The Wow Suites have great bathrooms with windows that view Downtown Dallas.

a

Party Scene – Hotel ZaZa

Trip Kick Preferred: Rooms Ending in “08-20 Even” Rooms

This party hotel is eclectic in nature, a sort of Rocker Elegance.  The scene at the pool is especially full of life on the weekends, and with these rooms you’ll never miss any of the action from the Balconies that overlook the pool area.

a

Family Getaway – Hotel Palomar Dallas

Trip Kick Preferred: Rooms Ending in “33″ Rooms

Luxury King Room that is a tad oversized and sits on the corner of the building.  It has two windows one with great views of Downtown Dallas, and the other faces the pool area.  This is the room regular guests keep coming back to.

a

Business/Convention Hotel – The Westin Galleria Dallas

Trip Kick Preferred: Rooms Ending in “05 & 22″ Rooms on Floors 15-21

Corner Suites that have been renovated with a great sense of modern style and color.  There is a large separate living room with nice suburb views and nice Bedroom suite with a window looking towards the mall and an oversized Bathroom with a large Walk-In Shower and Soaking Tub.  Be sure to check out a fellow travelers review of his room 1522.  These are some of the best rooms we’ve seen at any Westin property.

The Joule Hotel, Dallas (Preview)

The Joule Hotel is one of Dallas’ newest hotel additions, and one that will impress both design aficionado’s and frequent hotel guests alike. The Joule is Dallas’ first Starwood Luxury Collection property, and was designed around the concept of a “Joule”, a commonly used unit of measurement for energy. The Joule is housed within a historic Downtown building, adding to its endless levels of character and charm. Guests are warmly welcomed by an innovative lobby space that was designed to reflect the Energy theme that is evident throughout the hotel.

We were thoroughly impressed by Joule’s common areas, but particularly wowed by the hotel’s most distinctive architectual feature, the rooftop pool. The pool extends several feet off the rooftop, offering those in the pool a wonderful view of the city.

Joule’s guest rooms were meticulously designed to reflect not only the energy theme, but also a unique take on modern luxury. Room layouts vary greatly, giving guests several floor plan choices within each category. For instance, Deluxe Rooms can vary for a traditional guest room layout, to a uniquely shaped corner, to a room where the bed sits in the middle of the room. Not too many hotels give its guests this type of variety, so we at TripKick will tell you which ones to request based on your individual preferences. Bathrooms also vary in design, and are a true display of art. Contemporary in feel, bathrooms utilize sharp corners, fun colors, and glass enclosed showers with rainforest fixtures.

The Joule will certainly be a treat for any hotel guest, and particularly for those who appreciate cutting edge design, attention to detail, and personalized service. You choose your perfect room at The Joule now, and look for another 25 select Dallas Hotels to be live very soon!

Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, Dallas. Renovation Coming!

The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek is the only Mobil Five Star, AAA Five Diamond Hotel in the State of Texas, and is certainly regarded as one of Dallas’ finest.

We had an opportunity to recently check out The Mansion, and service is still legendary. The Mansion has a staff that is aimed to cater to your every need, and facilities that fulfill five star appetites. The Mansion is currently reviewing renovation options, and we had a chance to take a sneak peek at their new guest room designs. These new designs are refreshing, and will appeal to the Mansion’s current following, but will also gain the attention of a more contemporary minded guest. The new design is timeless, as it pays tribute to the classic Mansion style while also offering a fresh new take with several contemporary undertones. Bathrooms are slated to be redesigned with Glass Enclosed Showers, and Suites will offer oversized bathrooms with separate showers and soaking tubs. Once this new renovation is complete, the Mansion will not only offer some of the best service available, but also dynamite new accommodations to match. Look for these new changes in 2009.

We did see a “Show Room” of what the renovated rooms will look like and we were very impressed.  Although we can’t show you a picture because the upgrades have not been finalized take a look at the Mansion on Peachtree, it’s very similar in this elegant yet modern motif as seen in the photo below.
